Me and my friends bought a timeshare a month ago in Sunset Group,The agent that sell to us is speaking in our language, which is Filipino(Tagalog). In the presentation he said that we can rented out some weeks,so that we don't have any problem in paying maintenance fee every year, and more promises...And when we got home from vacation, we read the contract....It's ALL lies,,, so we contacted the resort and told them that everything we talked on the presentation were not in the contract, now we wanted to pull out in this mess, but we don't know what to do, then I read the mts..there are some saying it's a scam there are some saying it's true.now we don't know if we will pursue to negotiate with MTS, to cancel our Timeshare on a legal way. No upfront fee.pls.advice us.thank you.

Richerd is a SCAMMER !!! He is posting a set up to lure people to their website . They have been in the forums for years until we finally convinced Redweek that it is nothing more than a SCAM . Now they show up with a new twist . Richerd is the Set UP Man . He sets up the post and then another SHILL will appear telling a story about how the SCAM COMPANY got them out of their timeshare .

They play you along until they steer you to their website where they can isolate their victims . They claim there is no upfront money but wait for it ! Once you take the bait they set the trap .

They claim that everything is going along fine but there are taxes and fees that have to be paid . By this time they have you hooked because you think you are about to get out of your contract . If anyone is dumb enough to send the SCAMMERS any of their hard earned money then they bleed them for everything they can get .

They continue to come up with additional fees that need to be paid until you finally stop sending them money . The scam is still not over even if you stop sending money .

Sometime later you will be contacted by someone claiming they can get back the money you lost to the original SCAMMER . Guess what ? ......... It's the same SCAMMERS .

I spent over twenty five years in law enforcement and I can recognize this set up in a heartbeat .

You have a better chance of winning the Nigerian Lottery than getting your money back from these SCAMMERS !!

NEVER pay anyone money upfront that claims they can get you out of your contrract !! Stay in the open forums where you can get warned .

I do not claim to know whether "richerd" is for real or not. However, I can and do state with complete confidence that Mexican Timeshare Solutions is not legitimate.

Thank you very much for this response, now i know not to deal with the above named company. Oh well there are people who feeds their family from scamming people who are honest in making a hard earned money but unfortunately i am one of those victims and now trying ways on how to get out of my timeshare contract but it seems like it’s hard to find a legit company to help us out of this dilemma

Thanks for your answer. I’m that friend that richerd mentioned abive and we are NOT scammmers instead we are scammed by a sweet talking timeshare seller during presentation and we are dumb enough in believing their lies that’s why we are looking ways on how to get out of our contract as there are lots of companies out there promising that they can help.

There is NO ONE who can magically "get you out of your contract" once the cancellation period (which is 5 days after contract execution in Mexico) has passed. NO ONE.

On the other hand, all you really have to do is turn around, walk away and pay them not another penny. There is nothing they can or will do to you. You will lose any and all of the money you have paid so far and you will have no future access to the property, but there is still no good reason to send those parasites another penny. Consider just walking away right now and cutting your losses.

Has anyone felt with this company to sell their timeshare? We think we’ve been scammed for $4,000.

This is a story of a lovely couple named Patrick and Shannon. They went on their dream vacation together one fine summer and planned on having the time of their lives.

And for the most part they did.

Except for when they returned home. There was something uneasy about the timeshare thing when they bought it - It didn’t sit well.

Patrick and Shannon started looking into forums and doing research on the resort they bought their timeshare from.

There wasn’t much in the way of “good” being said about em’, that’s for sure. This was bad. Patrick and Shannon started getting a queasy feeling in their stomachs as they began reading some of the horror stories that were posted online.

Why they didn’t look into it at the time is a mystery but it probably had something to do with being on their dream vacation and traveling internationally for the first time. They must’ve been on a first-timers “high.”

It got even scarier when they couldn’t reach anyone for months by phone about their property to try and make a reservation or find out what was going on. They spoke to some people via e-mail but it was really just a bunch of “ring around the rosey.”

One of the lady reps who finally did answer, convinced them that it was better to get one of their other packages, seeing as how the one they purchased was “experiencing a lot of similar problems.” Naively, the couple shelled out more of their hard-earned money to this timeshare crisis in their lives.

It ended up being another scam.

2 years later, they were still paying the maintenance fees, which were continually increasing because they didn’t want their credit to suffer.

Even more, they got preyed upon by scammers lurking in forums that lured them into another scam where they had yet more money taken from them.

They joined a class action law-suit but it just puttered along, just as the attorney firm they had hired to help them get out of this “money-suck.”

After 14 months of paying them, there were still no results and the couple was no closer to getting out than when they started.

Dream vacation turned nightmare.

So, what could they have done differently to not end up in such a wretched situation?

Well, other than the obvious, they could have done research on the resort before-hand. Also, they could have avoided further frustration and financial hard-ship had they not been so gullible when they let the lady con them on the phone or in the forums where yet they again did not look into the individuals claims or company.

Most of the timeshare contracts out there clearly state whose really in charge here… and we all know it’s them.

The #1 thing anyone can do to avoid this drama is to take caution. Do research people. Look into matter and ask question about things. And please, let your curiosity fly with this one.

It’ll be much better than wearing the cross of regret I’ll tell ya.

So, the next time you’re offered anything, especially a timeshare, make sure you find out all about these whipper snappers. Are they legit? What’s the risk? What are people saying about them?, etc, etc… Happy travels out there.

All timeshares are scams. It used to surprise me that anyone with a handful of neurons would ever consider purchasing this garbage. But it just proves that the old adage is true and timeless: A fool and his money are soon parted.

Did you just stop paying them monthly? What if you took out a credit card for the downpayment? Do you just stop paying that? Wouldn’t that affect your credit score?
