What is it?

RedWeek Payments is a new service for owners who want to rent their timeshare. RedWeek provides the rental contract, collects and disburses the payment, and serves as arbiter in any disputes that arise. Renters get the added benefit of Payment Protection so they can rent with confidence.

How does it work?

Renters can still contact you directly through your posting to ask questions or negotiate the price. If you agree to a lower price, you can edit your posting to reflect the new asking price. When a renter is ready to book, they will submit a booking request with payment and we will notify you by e-mail. You will have 48 hours to accept the offer, then another 48 hours to make the name change on your reservation with your resort — so be sure you are checking your e-mail and RedWeek Message Box frequently.

Can I add RedWeek Payments to my rentals?

Currently RedWeek Payments is available to owners using RedWeek's full-service rental service, and a select group of owners who have posted DIY. We plan to expand this in the near future. If you have received an invitation to participate, you don't have to do anything - you are already set to accept RedWeek Payments. You can control these settings from your My Postings page in your Account.

How do I opt-out?

If you have received an invitation to use RedWeek Payments on your DIY rentals, you will automatically be included in the program. You can turn this OFF from the My Postings page within your Account for individual postings, or all eligible weeks. If you are using our Full-Service rental option, RedWeek Payments is the only payment method available and opting-out is not an option.

When will I be paid?

Rental funds and/or cancellation penalties will be disbursed to you within two business days after the check-in date, barring any disputes. Back to top

What is the cancellation policy?

The cancellation policy in the rental agreement is as follows: If Renter cancels at least 60 days prior to check-in, 50% of the total rental amount will be paid to the owner as a cancellation penalty, less agreed-upon fees. For cancellations less than 60 days prior to check-in, the penalty is 100% less fees. As an owner, once you accept an offer, you may not cancel or change your reservation.

Will RedWeek Payments remain the payment option for the entire duration of my posting?

Due to the processing time involved, RedWeek Payments will be turned off 10 days before check-in. Your posting may remain active, but renters will need to contact you directly to arrange last-minute rental terms and payment.
